Mayor and Alderman JP Smith join parade ahead of conference

The City of Cape Town’s Safety and Security Directorate this week hosts the Institute of Traffic, Licensing and Municipal Police Officers of Southern Africa’s annual conference and annual general meeting, which is being attended by 250 delegates from various municipalities, provincial and national authorities.
The opening of the conference was preceded by a parade by the uniformed staff of the Safe and Security Directorate at the Grand Parade early this morning.

Mayor Geordin Hill-Lewis and Mayoral Committee Member for Safety and Security, Alderman JP Smith, joined the parade.
Event activities included a display of directorate vehicles and a band display.
